Student Mechanics

As a company, MSV has partnered closely with North Kent College, which operates campuses across Dartford, Gravesend, Hadlow, and Tonbridge.
Over the last few months, We have been particularly impressed by their Level 3 Motorsport Engineering cohort. In fact, three of our current Trainee Mechanics—who work on our driving experience cars—are graduates from the college and have become fantastic additions to our team. This success has led us to exclusively advertise our mechanic roles to the college before making them public.
On Friday, 16th May, during the Brands Hatch round of the GT Cup, we have invited the college to bring a group of their students to the circuit. This visit aims to give the students an opportunity to engage with teams in the paddock, with the goal of securing work experience placements for the weekend or simply expanding their professional network.
The group will consist of 15 students, primarily from the Level 3 Motorsport Engineering program, who have completed three years of hands-on experience. A few of the students already have work experience with teams such as Jota. The group also includes one Level 2 student who has demonstrated an exceptional attitude and eagerness to work in the industry.
These students are eager to contribute in any way they can—from making tea to assisting with mechanical tasks—and are offering their time unpaid. This is simply an open opportunity for them to build valuable industry connections and learn from professionals like yourselves.
We kindly ask that teams be open to a brief conversation if approached by the students. Should they arrive at a particularly busy time, we would appreciate it if you could invite them to return later in the day.
While the visit is scheduled for Friday only, the students will be available to volunteer throughout the weekend if any teams are interested in offering further opportunities.
