The GT Cup Championship continues to offer one of the UK’s most welcoming, competitive and professionally organised environments for GT racing. For 2026, the series features updated race formats, refined driver gradings, exclusive testing opportunities and enhanced team support throughout the season.

2026 SEASON FORMAT

To provide variety and strategic depth, the 2026 season features two event formats:

Traditional Format

Used at four events

• 1 × 25-minute Sprint Race (Saturday & Sunday)

• 1 × 50-minute Pit-Stop Race (Saturday & Sunday)

Revised Format

Used at Donington March and Silverstone August

• Saturday: 1 × 50-minute Pit-Stop Race

• Sunday: 100-minute Endurance Race (refuelling permitted using dump churns)

All weekends include practice and qualifying sessions with a generous allocation of track time.

Tuesday 17th March 2026 – Donington Park GP

• Open-pitlane format

• Ambassador price: £1,375 + VAT

TYRES – 2026 SEASON

Competitors will be allocated three sets of tyres per weekend.
Final 2026 tyre specification will be confirmed shortly.

Tyre ordering and fitting will be available at all rounds via Pro-Tyre.

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT – DATA LOGGERS

A Race Technology data logger is required for all cars.

DRIVER GRADING – 2026 STRUCTURE

The GT Cup operates a six-tier driver grading system to ensure fair and balanced competition:

• Sporting 

• Sporting Enhanced

• Pro-Sporting

• Pro-Sporting Enhanced

• Pro

• Pro Enhanced

Drivers are reviewed and graded individually.

HOSPITALITY

Our hospitality suite provides a relaxed and high-quality environment for competitors, teams, families and sponsors:

• Cooked or continental breakfast

• Two-course lunch

• Optional Saturday evening meal (pre-booked)

• Additional guest/sponsor/team catering available on request
