Bute Motorsports unveils provisional 2026 GT Cup Championship Calendar

Bute Motorsport is delighted to announce the provisional GT Cup Calendar for 2026, with six dates taking in Britain’s top circuits.

As has become traditional for the championship, the new season will burst into life on Donington Park’s Grand Prix circuit in mid-April with what is sure to be another action-packed opener.

Following on from that, is a slight shake-up from the schedule for the last couple of years as the next stop takes the grid to Norfolk and a new May date for the first of two trips to Snetterton’s 300 layout. A return to Donington Park, again on the GP configuration, rounds out the first half of the season in late June.

After the summer break, it’s a return to Silverstone – the home of British motorsport – at the beginning of August before heading to Brands Hatch and the full Grand Prix Loop in September. The season reaches its climax with an October trip back to Snetterton.

Following the success of the GT Cup 100 format, it will be returning for 2026 with the exact dates to be announced in the coming months.

The championship will feature prominently on event billings either as headliner or co-headliner, meaning that teams will operate out of garages for the full season. Hospitality offerings will remain the same for 2026, allowing teams and guests to enjoy full meals and refreshments throughout the weekend in the GT Cup Race Centre.

The prize structure will remain the same for 2026, with entrants competing for a number of titles, including: Overall, Group, and Teams champions as well as the Sprint and Sporting Challenges.

Hannah James, Championship Director, said: “We are delighted to be able to confirm our 2026 calendar already, giving current and prospective teams the opportunity to maximise their schedules in what has become a sustained period of popularity for GT racing. We have already been receiving a lot of feedback and enquiries ahead of the 2026 season and it’s gratifying that teams and drivers see the vision and offering we provide as a championship.

“Next year will see the continuation of our comprehensive social media and livestreaming coverage of each and every round of the championship, and we look forward to seeing everyone in the East Midlands at Donington Park in April.”
