PIT LANE SAFETY REGULATIONS

 

The following safety measures will be implemented during the course of the weekend at Snetterton 300 circuit, please ensure that all your drivers and team members are briefed and understand.

  1. There will be a socially-distanced drivers briefing held at the GT Cup Race Centre on the Saturday morning at 0900 and it is mandatory that driver and Team manager attend.

  2. Only essential personnel wearing a GT Cup tabard will be allowed in the pit-lane, everyone else must stay in the garage behind the line.
  3. Only 4 Orange Jackets are allowed to work on the car during pit stops. The 1 blue jacket is the car controller and therefore should not be working on the car or pushing it backwards.

  4. Only two members per team are allowed on the pit wall you will be allocated wrist bands for this purpose.
  5. For this round you will be allowed to queue in the pit lane when you are told to do so and NOT BEFORE
  6. Each entry must designate a “Car Controller”. This team member must understand the seriousness of this this role will be solely responsible for the control and safety of the car while in the pit - including safely releasing the car.  This person will wear a blue tabard provided by GT CUP so they can be easily identified.

  7. Only 1 person per team is allowed on the grid, their role is purely to help your car find its grid position and no other reason. For this purpose please make sure they are wearing the one blue tabard your team has been allocated (note: the person carrying out this duty does not have to be the same person designated as the Car Controller) - anyone else will be asked to leave the grid.  Penalties will be applied for any team abusing this rule.

  8. The pit-lane speed for this weekend will be 50 KPH
  9. On the grounds of safety at this round 45° parking will be implemented. For clarification:
    • Cars must be positioned at 45° when parked on the apron outside the garages, with the nose of the car facing the garage
    • Cars can ONLY be pushed backwards by team personnel and MUST NOT reverse under their own power in the pit lane, at any time
    • Cars can be pushed backwards from the apron into the slow lane, but no further (i.e. not pushed into the fast lane)
    • The fast lane must be kept clear at all times
  10. In the 10-minute break between the practice and qualifying, you are permitted to turn your car round to face nose-out on the apron. At all other times, you must obey the 45° nose-in parking.

  11. On the grounds of safety while the car is in the pit lane the engine must NOT be running unless all four wheels are on the ground and the driver is in the car with the belts done up.

  12. All cars must be positioned nose-out when parked in their garages or awnings. Parc Fermé conditions apply after each session.
