Bute Motorsport are delighted to welcome David Frankland and Valour Racing back to the GT Cup for 2019. The former Radicals racer joined the Championship for the final three rounds of the 2018 season, picking up plenty of silverware despite only participating in three race weekends. In fact, out of the eight races David completed, he was on the podium for six of them in the GTB group.
Frankland may be keeping the same car for 2019, a fantastic Porsche 991 GT3, but he’s upping his commitment to the championship, having signed up for a complete season’s racing in Group GTB.
His signature Chubby Rat character, a remnant of David’s motorcycle racing days, will be making the return as well, prominently featured on the rear of Frankland’s new helmet.
“After a short season in 2018 with GT Cup, I am delighted to be committing to the 2019 season.” Says Frankland.
“Valour Racing will be supporting me in my efforts for 2019. I’ve found the series to be incredibly friendly, highly competitive and above all, fun, with lots of close racing. The organisation from Hannah and the team at Bute in the background has been superb. I can’t wait for 2019!”
