2019 UPDATED* Championship Calendar

GT Cup Championship reveals provisional 2019 calendar – featuring 7 double-header weekends and 28 rounds at some of the UKs top race circuits.

As the 2018 GT Cup Championship season heads into its final deciding weekend at Silverstone on the 13th/14th October, the championship announces its provisional calendar for 2019 with more rounds and greater track time over seven spectacular weekends, at some of the UK’s most iconic race venues.

Donington Park will, for the ninth year, host the season opener in April. Followed by two action-packed weekends at Snetterton 300, one in May and the second in July, as well as returning for the first time since 2016 to Silverstone on the national circuit.

Brands Hatch returns a month later as the teams battle for those all-important final points leading into the championships penultimate weekend back at Donington Park this time on the GP circuit. The 2019 season will then come to a close with the grand finale at Silverstone in October, on the Grand Prix circuit, where the GT Cup champions will be crowned.

A fantastic new format for the championship will be introduced in 2019 which will offer greater track time whilst keeping costs competitive. The proposed format will be as follows:

Saturday Sunday
1 x 15 Min Practice Session 1 x 15 Min Practice Session
1 x 15 Min Qualifying Session 1 x 15 Min Qualifying Session
1 x 25 Min Sprint Race 1 x 25 Min Sprint Race
1 x 50 Min Pit-Stop Race 1 x 50 Min Pit-Stop Race

Hannah Wilson, Championship Director said, “We have been working hard to further enhance the package GT Cup offer. With more track time, garages and exceptional hospitality at every round, we have focused on what each of our customers have asked for. Along with tweaking next year’s regulations, I have been working closely with Pirelli who have agreed a "free set of tyres" for all full-season entrants which we are very excited about. There will be further announcements over the coming weeks as deals are finalised”.

Entries online will open soon on the GT Cup website but for those wishing to register their interest now and secure their race number early, please contact Hannah Wilson for further information. [email protected] | 01963 442787
