Exciting GT Cup Calendar

Following a successful inaugural year with average grids in the high twenties, plans are now well and truly in place for next years GT Cup season. Series organiser Bute Motorsport are delighted to continue their relationship with MSVR to bring competitors an exciting GT Cup year with a significant rise in profile.
The provisional calendar was announced during the Silverstone round of the GT Cup last weekend and includes some premium venues and events including being the official support race for the A1GP meeting at Brands Hatch from 2 - 4 May 2009.

- 2/4 May Brands Hatch GP (official support to A1GP)
- 13/14 June Snetterton
- 11/12 July Thruxton (with FIA Trucks)
- 25 July Oulton Park
- 15/16 Aug Donington GP (with FIA Formula Two)
- 11 Oct Silverstone International
- 8. 14/15 Nov Brands Hatch Indy
Each of the eight meetings will feature two 25 minute races with the possibility of three races at the A1GP round. Two day meetings also include free practice. With budgets tightening due to the financial climate Bute Motorsport boss Marc Haynes is conscious of keeping costs down and has not included a foreign round. "I do not think it is the right time to include a round which would be comparatively expensive for competitors to attend" he commented.
